FAQ -- How to repair ASF, AVI, RM, WMV, WMA files?

Q: I get the message "Can't load wmv engine!", why?

A: Please update your Media Player to version 9, it can be download from follow:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/player.aspx
If you don't want update your Media Player, Please download and install Windows Format runtime Library:
http://www.repairvideo.com/download/wmfdist.exe

Q: Should I backup the original file before fix?

A: The fixed file will be saved as a new one, so you won't risk to damage your original file. for examples:
If your original file is c:\mymedia\abc.asf, the fixed file will be save as c:\mymdedia\abc_repair.asf
